It is made from recycled cotton, which comes from post-consumer waste materials such as yarn, fabric, and clothing remnants that are left over from production and consumption. The majority of recycled cotton is obtained through mechanical recycling. First, fabrics and materials are sorted by colour. After the sorting process, the fabrics go through a machine where they are broken down into yarn and then into raw cotton. The raw cotton is then spun back into yarn to be used in other products. This recycling process helps divert many items from landfills. By using processed recycled materials, it reduces energy, water, and dye usage. CO2 and fossil fuel emissions are offset by using existing materials. Recycled cotton is an excellent choice for reducing textile waste.
